is the imprint created by Janice to publish her books and other writing. Lou-Jan was the name of the winning hydroplane racing team she was part of as a young child. Her father combined the names of Janice and her mother, Lou. The boats were Lou-Jan I and Lou-Jan II. You can read about Janice's hydroplane racing days and see photos of the boats in her memoir: Dr. Beare's Daughter: Growing Up Adopted, Adored, and Afraid. The blue Corvette on this page is in memory of her dad's first Corvette, a white, 1963 split-window coupe, that he gave her to drive while in college.
